In this video, we're going to walk through how to install the InLinks JavaScript code on a WordPress website. For this demo, I’ve created a project for a site called predictiontech.com, which is a WordPress site covering technology and AI topics. I’ve added nine pages to the InLinks project for this domain. Once your pages are added, the first step is to associate each one with at least one relevant topic or entity. For example, I’ve selected a page about analysing and predicting consumer behaviour. By clicking the target button, I can view a list of entities detected in the content. I’ll choose “Consumer Behaviour” as the primary entity for this page. After selecting the topic, I refresh the page to allow InLinks to generate internal links and schema markup. Even if nothing shows immediately, setting the topic association is essential. Next, I move to the JavaScript (JS) installation. Clicking on the “JS Code is Inactive” button opens the code window. I copy the code and paste it into a text editor temporarily. Now let’s install it in WordPress using a plugin. In the WordPress admin area, go to Plugins > Add New. Search for a header and footer plugin. I’ve chosen “Insert Headers and Footers” due to its positive reviews. Install and activate the plugin. Once activated, go to the plugin settings. Paste the InLinks JS code into the Footer Scripts section. Click Save. Returning to the InLinks dashboard, the “JS Code is Inactive” message should now change to active (green), confirming installation success. To verify that internal links are live on the site: Visit one of the project pages. Look for contextual links, such as a link to the Consumer Behaviour page. Use right-click > Inspect Element in your browser. If the link contains the class inlinks, it has been successfully created by the InLinks system. If you prefer not to use a plugin: In WordPress, go to Appearance > Theme File Editor. Open the file footer.php. Paste the InLinks JS code just before the closing tag. Click Update File and wait for the confirmation. To verify: Revisit the “JS Code is Inactive” button in your InLinks dashboard. Check your site again using the Inspect tool for InLinks-generated links. These are the two supported methods to install the InLinks JavaScript on WordPress — either using a plugin or by editing the footer.php file directly.
