InLinks has applied for a patent on a new AI scanner technology called Waikay which stands for “What AI Knows about You.” The new technology builds on the InLinks knowledge graph and Named Entity Recognition technology to create a highly effective way to interrogate LLMs, including Google’s Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, to understand what these tools know about any brand and website.

What does Waikay do, and why is it different?
Waikay builds up a picture of what the AI systems know about you so that you can fact-check the results and use the information to help the AIs fill in knowledge gaps. It also consistently compares your brand against two of its peers, so that you will always be able to benchmark any level of understanding against the competition.
Waikay is TRULY an entity-based AI analyzer. There are several approaches that we have seen as businesses try to build out technology that helps SEOs and marketers understand more about how their brands are seen in LLMs. The first is to do thousands of LLM lookups to try and get a picture of what the LLM USUALLY says about a website. The second is to do what Dan Petrovich describes as a Brand / Topic “bidirectional analysis”. This latter approach is far more efficient since you can ask an LLM what it knows about a brand IN THE CONTEXT of a topic. The problem still remains, however, as to what constitutes a topic. By using a well-defined knowledge graph to list all the acceptable (defined) topics in the world, the Waikay technology is able to better distinguish between concepts than other tools in its class.
Fact-checking is the New Reputation Management!

One of the biggest problems with LLMs is their ability to hallucinate. Whilst the question of whether this is misrepresentation or not trundles on, brands do not have time to wait and find out if the LLM is spitting out inaccuracies that may or may not cost the brand reputation or market share. Brands need to get ahead of the game and STAY ahead of the game by spotting errors and addressing them promptly. Waikay makes this easy by summarizing the facts spat out by the LLMs with an easy “check, flag or delete” workflow.
Fix broken links in LLMs before they cost you leads!
LLMs also like to cite their sources… even when the sources don’t exist! What an opportunity missed if an AI mentions you and links to you, but gets the link wrong! Without Waikay, you will only know after the fact, that a user never found your site. But with Waikay, all the mentioned pages are checked as they are cited, and 404s and other errors are reported to you straight from the dashboard.

See exactly what the LLM said about you.
Waikay keeps a record of the text returned every time a report is run. This has two real benefits. The first is that whilst Waikay uses AI to interpret the way in which the LLMs understand the brands, you can always dig in and see the original output yourself. The second is that you can see if your brand’s reputation is improving over time.

Schedule reports to run regularly – or just get one-offs
Sometimes you will need to just dip into a brand and see whether the LLM knows about it in the context of one of its features or products. At other times, you will want to keep up a sustained marketing effort to try and become the dominant brand in your niche. One goal requires one-off reports, and the other requires regular, scheduled reporting to see changes over time. Waikay offer both options! You choose how you want to consume and use Waikay.

A Price Point For Everyone
Because Waikay is primarily based on API lookup and usage, InLinks has decided to release it as a separate brand from InLinks. This means that users can choose from a free option and subscriptions from as little as $20US a month all the way up to volumes that will accommodate the largest of brands. After an initial subscription, users can choose between upgrading or simply buying credits as they go. Credits do not expire, as long as you keep logging into the account every quarter.
